A new kind of Test that screens for underlying diseases and viruses, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's

The National Institute of Health states, Olfactory Dysfunction as an Early Biomarker in Parkinson’s Disease. "Olfactory dysfunction is common in Parkinson’s disease (PD) and often predates the diagnosis by years, reflecting early deposition of Lewy pathology, the histologic hallmark of PD, in the olfactory bulb. Clinical tests are available that allow for the rapid characterization of olfactory dysfunction, including tests of odor identification, discrimination, detection, and recognition thresholds, memory, and tests assessing the build-up of odor intensity across increasing suprathreshold stimulus concentrations. The high prevalence of olfactory impairment, along with the ease and low cost of assessment, has fostered great interest in olfaction as a potential biomarker for PD. Hyposmia may help differentiate PD from other causes of parkinsonism, and may also aid in the identification of “pre-motor” PD due to the early pathologic involvement of olfactory pathways. Olfactory function is also correlated with other non-motor features of PD and may serve as a predictor of cognitive decline. In this article, we summarize the existing literature on olfaction in PD, focusing on the potential for olfaction as a biomarker for early or differential diagnosis and prognosis".

The Latest Olfaction Test kit, My Safe Pass is similar to the upsit test which was introduced decades ago. The My Safe Pass Olfactory test was introduced in 2022 due to demand for covid-19 symptom screening public needs. The test detects Olfactory disorders associated with the earliest stages of covid even before fever. It also is used for early symptom indicators of Neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. The test is affordable for daily monitory for covid symptoms as well as earliest indicators of other underlying diseases that effect Olfaction, (Our sense of smell) Many do not realize that they have any disorder because the changes can go unnoticed. Only a slight degradation of smell can be measured with the My safe Pass Olfactory Test. This 60 second, 5 scent odorant detection test is simple to use. Using your mobile device, laptop or tablet for Doctors offices and security screening, the user simply scans the card, rubs 5 scent areas and answers what they smell from an assortment of scents. only complete they get a pass of fail and instructions on next steps. Early detection allows for further investigation and testing. Early diagnosis allows for early treatment. Like a stage 1 cancer test but for Viral and neurological diseases.
